Drumbeg Park

the comfort of water

25 °C

Having Tony's sister and brother-in-law come and visit was a very welcome blessing. We re-connected with family and family history. It was a great diversion from the spring and summer's obsession with rain - as in not getting any, and the well getting low. Believe it or not it was a tense time even as I understand we are so lucky in comparison to others who live in places of political and climate upheaval.

Some naturally beautiful rhodo's live in Mary Jane's garden. Quite an uplifting visit.

Not Travelling Anywhere Today

a study on staying put

snow 2 °C

A time to contemplate, to feel the crunch of snow beneath my feet.

I am thankful for days like these even though I didn't get to go where I had planned to go. This kind of natural interruption is good when you don't have to drive anywhere. However I am thinking of all those who do have to get home.

Even though we live in Paradise

we are planning a river cruise

snow 4 °C

Thanks to our children who are now older and wiser than us - we will be sailing on the Danube next fall and I thought I should start this blog now. Hope you will come with us.

In the meantime we are still enjoying our cold wintry island home.
